Display: The front panel of the phone houses the 2.2” large 16 million colour displaying screen making the output appear bright and vibrant. The screen is a TFT type and has an accelerometer sensor for sensing the orientation of the handset when viewing pictures of videos.


Memory: The Nokia 6600i Slide has a shared internal memory of 20 MB though the same is complemented by the external memory card slot that can hold up to a 16 GB microSD TransFlash card. This allows for the phone to convert into a store house of music, pictures and other data, without the user ever having to worry about running out of space! A 1 GB card is even included with the handset.

Networking: The handset is a 3G device, supported by GPRS at 88 kbps and EDGE at 296 kbits, both belonging to Class 32. A 2.0 Bluetooth along with an external microUSB port suffices as data exchange mechanisms. The browser is a WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML (Opera Mini) and the handset also includes an email client.

Ringtone Profiles and Features: The handset comprises both polyphonic and MP3 alert formats. The Nokia 6600i Slide also includes a 3.5 mm standard audio jack to allow for any standard head phone to be connected to it. This allows the user to use the handset as their portable MP3 player. The phone has a brilliant 5MP camera with dual-LED Flash, auto-focus and accelerometer sensor. The camera also records VGA format videos and a secondary camera allows for video calling. The Nokia 6600i Slide comes with a handsfree, and is pre-loaded with games and an FM radio.
